Brigada Eskwela kicked-off at Pasay City National Science High School gymnasium, June 10, 2025 with the theme, “Sama-sama Para sa Bayang Bumabasa”.

Sara Jane Delos Santos, Assistant Principal, started emphasizing the importance of fostering a culture of reading. She welcomed a new era of Brigada Eskwela that goes beyond cleaning and maintenance, placing equal importance on reading and literacy development.

“Ang batang marunong bumasa ay batang may pag-asa,” Delos Santos stated.

Following the program, Brigada Eskwela Coordinator Jackyline Lagaña presented the activities planned for the week, including SAFEZONE: Bayanihan Para sa Kaligtasan, a safety training initiative that was conducted throughout Day 1.

At the same time, cleaning efforts united the school community as students, parents, teachers, and school personnel worked to sweep classrooms, wipe down faculty rooms, and rearrange books in the library.

After fulfilling their duties, students participated in Sports for a Cause, an activity organized by the SSLG in coordination with the PaScian Sports Club. This event showcased athletes’ skills and passion while promoting purpose and unity during the Brigada Eskwela season.

As the first day concluded, an invitation was extended for the school community to join the second day of activities.
