The Division-Wide Reading Proficiency Contest of Pasay City for Elementary and Secondary levels, with the theme, “Bridges of Understanding: Reading for Empathy, Critical Thinking, and Lifelong Learning,” was conducted at Padre Zamora Elementary School last November 14, 2025.
Pasay City National Science High School students participated in the contest, with Martin Cedric Eneria placing first in the Grade 7 category, trained by Mrs. Ruwena Cascayan, Hannah Zarren Vere placing second in the Grade 9 category, trained by Mrs. Anabella Cusi, Rhian Jennica Franco achieving first in the Grade 10 category, under Mr. Mark Reniel Balolo, and Leon Corwin Manlangit taking top spot in the Grade 12 category under Ms. Jean Glenn Verdera.
Mr. Restituto Rodelas, Chief Education Program Supervisor of the Curriculum Implementation Division, delivered his closing remarks, “May this experience serve as a reminder that reading will always open doors. Doors of opportunities, doors of wisdom, and doors to a world where learning never ends.”
