PaSci opens online enrollment for SY ‘20-‘21

Pasay City National Science High School launched its Online Enrollment last May 16 in preparation for school year 2020-2021 amidst the ongoing health crisis.

Through the Pascian Bulletin page, the school announced that students can now enroll through online platforms, while required documents shall be submitted once a schedule is provided.

For incoming Grade 8 to 12 students that completed their past school year at the school, recent report card and 2 2×2 ID pictures are required.

Grade 10 completers from PaSci are not needed to take the Entrance Examination for Incoming Grade 11 learners, as per Division Memorandum No. 406, s. 2020 that was released last May 21.

The same memorandum also stated that applicants from other schools will still have to take this exam “on the date the school will schedule once the situation warrants, without jeopardizing the safety of the learners concerned.”

These aspirants must have firstly passed the exam and the student interview to enroll. Grade 10 report card, birth certificate, certificate of good moral character, and 2 2X2 pictures are also required.

Additionally, Division Memorandum No. 407, s. 2020 communicated that the interview for incoming Grade 7 learners will be done through online and phone on June 8.

A schedule of interview will be provided to these learners thru text and private messages.
Once the applicants who passed the Qualifying Examination for Grade 7 conducted last February 15 get accepted in the student interview, they are now eligible to enroll.

Requirements for them include Grade 6 report card, birth certificate, and certificate of good moral character.

Ms. Rose Anne Decena, the person-in-charge who made the Online Enrollment forms, said that the directives came from the school head since many schools have already opened enrollments thru online platforms — which helped her come up with ideas.

“With the help of the Guidance Office, Supreme Student Government, and approval of the school head, the online enrollment was made possible,” she added.

In adherence to the guidelines of the Inter-Agency Task Force, the Online Enrollment is one of the steps being taken by authorities in a “new normal” approach to continue school activities in the middle of the pandemic.

As of today, 570 students have already enrolled.
