Another milestone has been achieved as Pasay City National Science High School hosts the Regional Festival of Talents 2026 STEMazing Competition today, February 25, under the theme, “Embracing Change, Redefining Excellence.”
The competition gathers regional qualifiers from different cities across the National Capital Region for both elementary and secondary levels.
From last year’s on-the-spot research making contest, this year’s STEMazing Competition features a series of STEM-focused tasks designed to challenge participants’ skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
The event opened with a program led by Mrs. Ann Decena-Quezon and Mr. Bryan Pacris.
Dr. Mark Anthony Familaran, School Principal of Pasay City National Science High School, then delivered the opening remarks and welcomed the delegates from across the region. In his message, Dr. Familaran expressed the school’s honor and pride in hosting the event and highlighted the importance of innovation and excellence in STEM education.
Mr. Lambert Quesada, Officer in Charge and Education Program Supervisor for Mathematics of Department of Education National Capital Region (DepEd NCR) introduced the board of judges.
This was followed by a briefing on the competition mechanics by Mr. Don King Evangelista,
Officer in Charge and Education Program Supervisor for Science of DepEd NCR.
The opening program concluded with a photo opportunity before the official start of the competition.
