“I hope that you’ll see this event as a motivation to keep pursuing activities related to math,” said Ms. Angelique L. Inlong, President of The Euclidean, as she formally concluded Math Fest 2025 at the Pasay City National Science High School Gymnasium on January 09, 2026.
The event started with the preliminaries led by the PCNSciHs Chorale, followed by the opening remarks of Mrs. Arlyn L. Esber, Department Head of Mathematics, and the showcasing of students’ talents through various activities.
Among the featured activities were the Math Jingle, where students displayed their creativity through songs with mathematical themes, followed by a Rubik’s Cube competition that tested students’ speed ang logical thinking, and Fast Math, where participants rapidly solved math problems.
In the middle of the event, Mr. Mark Anthony F. Familaran, the School Principal, delivered a heartfelt message encouraging students to enjoy learning Mathematics.
An icebreaker was also conducted by The Euclidean during the event, giving students the opportunity to win prizes, including a new Casio calculator and the Math Henyo Special Edition featuring the Mathematics teachers.
In an interview, Inlong emphasized the impact of the event on students. “The culminating activity helped the students to better appreciate or understand mathematics as they get to witness all sorts of math-related activities and performances that would surely pique everyone’s interests,” the president said.
The event ended with the awarding of certificates and medals to the participants who won in the various activities.
