Members of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP) from Pasay City National Science High School participated in a two-day camping activity from February 27 to 28, 2026 aimed at developing teamwork, cooperation, and practical life skills through outdoor learning.
Participants shared that the camping experience helped them gain a clearer understanding of teamwork, responsibility, and practical skills that they can apply in everyday life.
“The encampment helped me work closely with other scouts, share responsibilities, and support each other to complete tasks successfully,” Danelle Bueno, GSP Grade 8 Chairperson shared.
The program gathered scouts in a shared camping environment where they joined activities designed to strengthen communication, responsibility, and confidence while working with fellow participants.
Key activities included a potluck meal, group presentations, campfire gathering, and radio broadcasting exercise that allowed scouts to practice teamwork and clear communication.
Safety and preparedness were also emphasized through sessions on self-defense and basic bandaging, introducing participants to simple personal protection and first-aid practices.
Creative and physical activities such as poster making and Zumba complemented the program before the camp concluded with an overnight stay that encouraged independence, cooperation, and shared responsibility among the scouts.
