To prepare graduating and incoming senior high school students, the Career Guidance Orientation program with the theme, “Navigating Futures, Engineering Success” was held at the Pasay City National Science High School gymnasium on March 5 and was attended by Grade 10 and 12 students.
The orientation highlighted how to choose careers that match students’ interests and academic strands and provided information on the Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES), which allows students to gain work experience while continuing their education.
Students received guidance on key steps in college preparation, including selecting institutions, understanding admission requirements, and planning academic pathways that will support their long-term educational and career goals.
“The program helped me understand the courses I might choose and the kind of work I could do in the future. My new knowledge also made me more confident about my academic and career decisions,” said Jean Ylagan, Grade 10 student.
The orientation provided students with structured information, opportunities, and planning tools that will guide them in navigating education and career choices, completing requirements for graduation or senior high, and preparing for future academic and work commitments.
