DepEd NCR held an Oath-Taking Ceremony hosting the rank up of 2,915 teachers and school heads from across the region under the Expanded Career Progression System (ECP) at the Makati Coliseum, on February 6, 2026.

 

The event, with the theme, “RISE in Service: Oath-Taking Ceremony og DepEd NCR Teachers and School Heads” was led by DepEd NCR Regional Director and concurrent Officer-in-Charge of the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Operations, Asec. Jocelyn DR Andaya, and graced by a keynote address from President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

 

ECP, originally established by Executive Order No. 174, s. 2022, and institutionalized by Republic Act 12288, aims to promote public school teachers and school heads by creating higher teaching ranks and defining non-mandatory career tracks in classroom teaching or school administration, via merit-based system.

 

Pascian teachers Mr. Benjamin Lañada and Mrs. Maria Theresa Estilong attended the ceremony and ranked up to Teacher II and Teacher III respectively.
