In an awarding ceremony earlier today, November 23, Pasay City National Science High School recognized the efforts of students who excelled in various competitions in the field of mathematics.

The event hosted by Xyrel Canonoy and Zyriel Coronel featured the awardees from the following competitions: Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), Thailand International Mathematical Olympiad (TIMO), and the National Mathletics Challenge (NMC).

Canonoy and Coronel, together with Elyzza Esteban and Neil Icaro, bagged the first in the SEAMEO-ESD competition and are expected to go to Japan for a study tour, while TIMO Bronze medalist Filha Bautista will be going to Thailand to compete once again.

In the NMC, a total of five gold, ten silver, and five bronze medals were garnered by students from grades 7-12 in the Advanced Arithmetic Aces, Proficient Problem Solvers, and Masterful Mathematicians Categories.

Teachers from the Mathematics Department, together with Ms. Maria Estilong and Principal Dr. Mark Anthony Familaran, were also honored afterwards.
